Costs & Quotes

Quotes are primarily based on home size (volume of items), distance between locations, truck size, crew size, and extra services like full packing or handyman work.

Phone quotes are rough estimates. You should request an in-person or video survey so the mover can issue a fixed, binding written quote to avoid price jumps on moving day.

Yes. Ask if there are additional charges for long walking distances from the truck, carrying items up stairs (if lifts are unavailable/restricted), or handyman work like mounting TVs.

Yes. Demand spikes over weekends (Fridays to Sundays) and at the end of the month, so moving mid-week or mid-month often yields better rates.

Operations & Logistics

It is best to book 1 to 2 weeks in advance for standard apartment moves, and 3 to 4 weeks early if moving a villa or scheduling during peak month-end periods.

A studio or 1-bedroom apartment takes about 3 to 6 hours, a 2–3 bedroom apartment takes 6 to 9 hours, and larger villas take 1 to 2 days.

Yes. Standard professional packages include double-walled cartons, bubble wrap, stretch film, and specialized wardrobe boxes.

It is ideal to be present at the start (to guide the team) and at the end (to verify inventory and inspect for damage), though you can designate an authorized representative if you are unavailable.

Movers will not transport hazardous materials (flammables, gas cylinders), illegal items, perishable fresh food, or high-value personal items like cash, jewelry, and official documents.

Yes. Most major companies offer secure, climate-controlled warehouse storage on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis if your new home isn’t ready.

Services & Handling

Yes. Standard quotes cover dismantling and reassembling beds, dining tables, wardrobes, and modular cabinets.

Basic furniture assembly is included. Specialized handyman tasks like drilling wall shelves, hanging curtains, or mounting TVs are often offered for a small extra fee (AED 100–300).

Movers can disconnect standard washing machines or fridges. However, specialized electrical or plumbing work (like gas ranges or complex built-in appliances) usually requires a certified technician.

Yes. Professional movers clear away all used cardboard boxes, plastic wrap, and debris once unpacking and reassembly are complete.

Permits, Insurance & Rights

Yes. Major developer communities (e.g., Emaar, Nakheel, DAMAC, Dubai Properties) require an online NOC/Permit. You must apply 2–3 days prior using your Ejari, passport/Emirates ID, and the mover’s trade license.

Reputable movers carry transit insurance covering goods during transport. Always ask what the insurance covers, whether it applies to full replacement value, and what the deductible is.

If an item is damaged, report it immediately before the movers leave and document it on the work sheet so a formal insurance claim can be processed.

Verify that they hold an active UAE business trade license (issued by Dubai Economy & Tourism or equivalent) and an RTA commercial transport permit.

Tipping is optional. A standard tip in Dubai is AED 20 to AED 50 per worker for apartment moves, or 5% to 10% of the total bill split among the crew for large villa moves.

You should notify your landlord at least 30 to 90 days before your lease ends (per your lease contract). Ensure Ejari is cancelled immediately upon move-out to allow smooth registration at your next property.
